Role Description
The Cybersecurity and IT Trainer will design and deliver high-quality training programs on cybersecurity fundamentals, advanced security topics, and core IT concepts to diverse audiences.
This contract, on-site role is based in Dubai and involves conducting workshops, classroom sessions, and hands-on labs for students, professionals, and corporate teams.
The trainer will develop curricula, training materials, slide decks, labs, and assessments aligned with current industry standards and certifications.
Daily responsibilities include updating course content based on emerging threats and tools, demonstrating practical attack and defense techniques in a safe lab environment, and guiding learners through exercises and projects.
The role also includes assessing participant performance, providing constructive feedback, collaborating with internal security and research teams to keep content current, and supporting marketing or outreach activities related to training programs.
Qualifications
- Strong cybersecurity knowledge across areas such as network security, application security, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, incident response, and security operations.
- Solid IT foundations, including operating systems (Windows, Linux), networking fundamentals, system administration, and basic scripting or automation skills.
- Experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and creating training materials such as presentations, lab guides, and assessments.
- Demonstrated classroom or workshop training experience, with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to learners at different skill levels.
- Familiarity with common security tools and platforms (e.g., SIEMs, vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection, firewalls, and penetration testing toolsets).
- Relevant certifications are highly beneficial (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+, CySA+, CEH, OSCP, CISSP, or equivalent practical experience).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong presentation, facilitation, and public speaking abilities.
- Proven ability to stay up to date with emerging threats, trends, and technologies in cybersecurity and to incorporate new developments into training content.
