Senior Cyber Software Engineer – Cyber Missions Location: Annapolis Junction, MD

Peraton is looking for a senior-level Cyber Software Engineer to join our cutting-edge Cyber Missions team in Annapolis Junction, MD.

In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and services, leveraging modern Java frameworks and best practices to build scalable, high-performance, and maintainable software solutions .
• Design, develop, and enhance complex software systems, including high-performance analytics, real-time systems, innovative algorithms, and large-scale data processing solutions.
• Recommend new technologies and processes to optimize complex software projects and drive innovation.
• Serve as the technical lead for multiple software development teams, guiding their work and ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Select appropriate software development processes in coordination with the customer and system engineering teams.
• Ensure quality control across all developed and modified software, maintaining the highest standards for reliability and performance.
• Delegate programming and testing responsibilities to teams and actively monitor their performance to ensure successful delivery.
• Collaborate individually and within teams to review, test, and refine software components, ensuring they meet rigorous design and performance standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues, delivering reliable, mission-critical solutions.
• Apply advanced software development methodologies and best practices tailored to each project’s needs.
• Contribute to system-level design decisions , including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse strategies, and leveraging COTS/GOTS solutions to maximize efficiency.
• Transform system requirements into actionable software components, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
