Role overview
CACI is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer focused on Linux systems and NSS tools within a network defense environment.
The role supports the security, reliability, and efficiency of Linux-based systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement shell scripts for automated system maintenance.
- Configure system logging and remote logging for log analysis, troubleshooting, and security monitoring.
- Establish networking services, firewall configurations, and SELinux policies.
- Configure local storage using partitions and logical volumes.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain systems, software installations, updates, and core services.
- Use DNS, SMTP, DHCP, and network troubleshooting tools to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Collaborate across teams to achieve system-related goals.
Required qualifications
- Proven Linux system administration experience with shell scripting and system automation.
- Expertise in system logging, log analysis, troubleshooting, and secure networking services.
- Experience with Ansible and GitHub or GitLab for script and code management.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance and experience on United States Government contracts.
- DOD 8570 IAT II and CSSP Infrastructure Support certifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
