Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls to protect applications, networks, and information systems.
- Assess security risks, perform vulnerability assessments, monitor security events, and respond to incidents.
- Support secure architecture design, review configurations and code for security weaknesses, and recommend remediation actions.
- Prepare technical documentation, contribute to security policies and procedures, and provide security guidance to project teams and customers.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Cybersecurity and Information Security principles, frameworks, and best practices.
- Hands on experience with Network Security, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and secure network design.
- Practical expertise in Application Security, including secure coding concepts, security testing, and reviewing applications for vulnerabilities.
- Proficiency in Vulnerability Assessment, including use of scanning tools, risk prioritization, and coordination of remediation efforts.
- Experience with security monitoring tools (SIEM, endpoint protection, log management) and incident response processes.
- Understanding of relevant security standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP Top 10).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., CEH, Security+, CySA+, CISSP, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Ability to work on site in Damascus and collaborate effectively with regional teams and clients.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills, with the ability to document and present technical findings clearly.
