- Set up, operate and monitor cutting machines to cut materials into specified dimensions
- Load and unload coils safely and make necessary machine adjustments for optimal performance
- Read and interpret work orders to cut steel strips accurately using various machine control and programming software
- Perform regular quality inspections during the cutting process, ensuring all measurements and tolerances meet customer and company standards
- Complete and maintain accurate records, including work orders, measurement sheets, production reports, quality control forms, OEE data
- Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and tape measures; convert between measurement units as needed
- Conduct basic troubleshooting of machines and workflow issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity
- Operate overhead cranes safely to handle and position materials
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and safety standards
- Working continental day and night shift rotations
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED/CAEC) required; technical or vocational training preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment required
- Prior experience setting up, operating and troubleshooting Cutting, Slitting, CNC machinery or related equipment required
- Possess basic knowledge of programming software
- Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics
- Familiarity with production equipment and safety standards
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Basic math and measurement skills (e.g., using vernier caliper, micrometers, Allan Key, tape measurer or rulers); ability to convert measurements
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Organized and able to manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
