Customer Solutions Field Engineer

This position requires working directly or indirectly with the US Government in restricted environments.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship and may be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance in the future.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution, with academic or professional knowledge of radio-frequency (RF) principles and systems.
• 1-3 years of relevant technical experience working with RF, wireless, radar, sensing, electronic, or similarly complex systems in real-world environments.
• Demonstrated RF knowledge, including practical understanding of antennas, propagation, interference, signal levels, and system-level RF troubleshooting.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex system behavior methodically, isolate root causes, make sound technical recommendations with limited day-to-day direction, and drive issues through resolution.
• Experience communicating technical information directly with customers and translating between customer needs and engineering teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly, up to 50%, including domestic and international travel as customer and business needs require.
• Ability to perform field testing approximately 20% of the time, including work involving drones and aircraft, with most field testing occurring locally to the Hoffman Estates area.

• Takes ownership of technical problems and follows them through from initial symptoms to a practical resolution.
• Enjoys working hands-on with real systems rather than solving problems only from a desk.
• Stays effective when field conditions, customer environments, or technical behavior do not match the original plan.
• Builds credibility with both technical customers and engineering teams by communicating clearly and grounding recommendations in evidence.
• Is curious about how systems behave in the real world and looks for patterns that can improve both individual deployments and the product more broadly.

• Experience working with radar, mmWave systems, RF sensing, or related wireless technologies.
• Experience deploying or supporting technical products in customer environments.
• Familiarity with unmanned aircraft systems, aviation applications, surveillance systems, or other sensing-intensive environments.
• Experience supporting government, defense, public-safety, or security customers.
• Personal projects or hands-on technical work involving RF, electronics, drones, robotics, sensing, or related systems.
