Role overview
The Customer Service Representative supports smooth sales and sales-related operations for the India power tools business.
Key performance areas include customer satisfaction, policy compliance, logistics efficiency, and timely order and invoice generation.
Job responsibilities
- Process and book customer orders in SAP and Tally.
- Release purchase orders to overseas plants and local vendors against approved quotations.
- Coordinate order execution and delivery commitments with customers, suppliers, and overseas plants.
- Monitor order backlog and follow up on material availability and dispatch.
- Prepare and process customer invoices in SAP and Tally.
- Coordinate shipment movement and customs clearance with logistics partners, freight forwarders, and customs house agents.
- Track shipments and ensure on-time delivery to customers.
- Handle customer inquiries and provide order and shipment status updates.
- Prepare order, sales, backlog, and shipment MIS reports.
- Maintain documentation, comply with internal controls, and support audits.
Critical skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 2–3 years of experience, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing company.
