This position is in our Ag & Trading enterprise, where we connect producers and users of grains and oilseeds around the globe through origination, trading, processing, and distribution. We also offer a range of farmer services and risk management solutions.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Customer Service Representative will support a moderate scale of customer service activities for a group of agricultural business locations. In this role, you will contribute to optimizing and monitoring shipping and returns, including processing complex orders from customers and resolving order or delivery issues.
Key Accountabilities
Processing and supporting the full cycle of grain and crop input transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Coordinating logistics and delivery schedules for products.
Managing contracts, invoicing, settlements, and payments.
Responding promptly to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing proactive communication.
Maintaining systems and databases related to shipments, inventory, and customer accounts.
Executing customer service strategies and supporting improvement projects.
Escalating complex issues to appropriate staff when necessary.
Other administrative duties as assigned.
Position Information
Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
Minimum Required
Diploma/Certificate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (agriculture or business) or equivalent experience.
Strong customer service skills with ability to build and maintain lasting relationships.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to work extended or flexible hours as required.
Ability to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time, including repetitive keyboard activity.
Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.
Preferred
Agricultural background and understanding of industry practices.
Experience or knowledge in SAP, Salesforce, and Power BI.
Two years of experience in a business setting (other combinations of education and experience considered).
