About the Role

Job Description
- Southwest Airlines is looking for a Customer Service Agent at SAN to welcome customers and assist with check in, boarding, and baggage.
- You will work at the ticket counter, gate area, and baggage service office.
- This role is part of a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with IAM.
Responsibilities
- Provides friendly service to internal and external customers.
- Handles ticketing and check in using a computerized point of sale system.
- Checks in baggage and cargo.
- Answers telephone to provide information and resolve problems.
- Deals with mishandled customers due to oversells, delays, or cancellations.
- Provides current and accurate fare, schedule, and flight information.
- Completes forms and reports as required.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Ability to type and use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed.
- Ability to read documents and follow instructions.
- Must satisfactorily complete Customer Service Agent training program with 80% or greater average.
- Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 70 pounds.
- Must be able to climb, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

- Pay of $20.22 per hour with opportunity for future increase per CBA.
