Role Overview
NCS Australia is seeking experienced Customer Identity Engineers for a major enterprise digital transformation program based in Sydney.
The role delivers secure, scalable CIAM solutions across full-stack development, API security, and digital customer channels.
Responsibilities
- Build, integrate, and optimize CIAM solutions for high-volume customer-facing channels.
- Develop secure Java or Node.js services and APIs using modern web frameworks and microservices architectures.
- Implement OAuth2, OIDC, SSO, MFA, passkey, and passwordless authentication workflows.
- Integrate identity verification, biometric flows, and fraud detection into onboarding and authentication journeys.
- Embed CI/CD, automated testing, secure coding, and operational support into identity services.
- Collaborate with Security Architects, Enterprise Solution Designers, and Digital Product Squads.
Core Requirements
- Strong experience engineering customer-facing identity, authentication, and access management solutions.
- Hands-on backend API and integration development using Java or Node.js and modern web or mobile technologies.
- Practical knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SSO, MFA, and secure token management.
- Experience with passkeys, passwordless authentication, or customer identity verification and KYC workflows.
