The Custodian is responsible for maintaining offices, buildings, and facilities in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. This position performs routine and periodic cleaning duties throughout the facility and supports a clean and professional work environment.
The Custodian is responsible for maintaining offices, buildings, and facilities in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. This position performs routine and periodic cleaning duties throughout the facility and supports a clean and professional work environment.
Perform routine and periodic cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, walls, windows, glass surfaces, and other areas as assigned.
Sweep, mop, scrub, strip, wax, and vacuum floors using appropriate cleaning methods and equipment.
Collect and dispose of trash, including trash receptacles located near exterior main entrances.
Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms and restroom supplies.
Clean and polish furniture, fixtures, drinking fountains, and other facility surfaces.
Dust and clean office furniture, walls, machines, equipment, and other surfaces as required.
Mix and use cleaning solutions and detergents in accordance with product specifications and safety guidelines to prevent damage to floors, fixtures, furniture, and other surfaces.
Operate company vehicles as needed to travel between buildings and work areas throughout the facility.
Move cleaning equipment and supplies manually or with the use of hand trucks and other appropriate equipment.

Inspect cleaning equipment and supplies and notify the Lead and/or Manager of any major equipment, maintenance, or supply needs.
Follow all company policies, procedures, safety regulations, and applicable site requirements.
Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
Working knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Demonstrated ability to maintain a courteous, professional, and positive attitude when interacting with customers and coworkers.
Ability to follow established policies, procedures, safety requirements, and operating instructions.
Ability to successfully complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license and a safe driving record in accordance with company policy.
Ability to operate company vehicles and/or equipment as required for the position.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and regularly perform physical activities including pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, and reaching for extended periods.
Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shifts as needed to meet mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in areas where various workplace hazards may be present while using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
