Cube Line General Laborer - 3rd Shift

Position Description: Perform various duties to assist in the day to day operations of the packaging production line, with a Safety-minded attitude that maintains and enhances a Safety-culture for the benefit of the Company and its employees. Primary Responsibilities: Performs all duties and requirements in a safe and orderly manner Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations Required to maintain rate of the packaging line operation being performed Moves, stores and stacks materials and products by hand or with material handling equipment Adjusts and monitors equipment, advising lead person of irregularities Identifies line needs due to packaging/product quality and confers needs with lead person Contributes to team effort by performing other duties as assigned and needed Train hourly employees on various functions like palletizers, box machines, and forklift as needed Supervisory/Management Responsibilities: Not Applicable Requirements: Basic English Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication) Able to communicate effectively orally, bilingual preferred Able to work variable shifts; overtime and weekends as needed Able to work in a team environment Physical Requirements: Able to lift in excess of 75 pounds on a consistent basis Able to tolerate extreme temperatures (heat/cold) Able to tolerate heights Standing/walking 100% of the workday Twist, bend and stoop approx. 5% of the workday Training Period: 1 - 3 months meeting all above requirements This is a union position and comes with benefits provided by the union, upon completion of the 90 day probationary period.
