Critical Facility Engineer responsibilities include rack installation, including electrical and mechanical system components .

• Conduct the da y - t o - day ope r a tio n s for t h e D a t a C e n ter
• Install racks a nd e n closu r es f o r e qu i p me n t
• Prepare equipment for installation
• Update ca b l e management sy s t em s as c ha n ge s a r e m ad e to t h e D C c a b le p l an t
• Update ass e t management sy s t em s as e qu i p m e n t i s add e d/ remove d
• Execute tasks for each pro j ect a nd w o r k wit h a l l te a m s to me e t timeli n e s
• Communicate project status upda t e s to a ll te a m s and s t a ke h ol d er s
• Communicate information t o ass i s t w i t h c apa city p l ann i n g for spa ce, p o w e r, d a t a c o mm un icatio n s, a n d cooling
• Manage vendor resourc e s to c o m p lete t as k s as d e fi n e d i n S OW s
• Coordinate delivery and shipping o f a ll e qu i p me n t
• Access, install, remove, a nd te s t electrical components
• Electrical whip installation within Whitespace
• Complete termination o f power c ab l i n g, m ove s - adds - and c han ge s ( MA C)
• Panel installations, pa t c h cor d m ana geme n t, c a b i n et i n s t a ll a t i o n , and p r o p er d evice c o nn ec t i o n s as directed
• Installation and quality control inspections on mechanical system components
• Policing of computer ro o ms, a l w a y s e nsu r i n g cle an li n e ss a n d t ha t n o c a r db o a r d i s sto r ed
• Reports h a zar d s a n d violation s of a n y sa f e ty i ss u e s
