Role overview
The Credit Manager will conduct credit due diligence and support risk management for trade finance borrowers and transactions.
Specific responsibilities
- Conduct credit due diligence on trade finance borrowers covering management, financial, industry, and business risk.
- Identify credit and operational risks across receivables and payables financing, import and export financing, factoring, commodity trade finance, inventory finance, buy-sell transactions, and risk participation.
- Analyze financial statements, early warning indicators, collections, remediation, and recoveries.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, processes, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Proactively manage portfolio risk exposure, collections, remediation, and recoveries.
- Identify key risks and align stakeholders on risk mitigation actions.
- Interact with risk consultants, recovery agents, insurance companies, brokers, and other external service providers.
- Support transactions and cases with credit risk guidance and innovative solutions aligned with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Review term sheets and vet loan-related documentation with borrowers.
