Specific Responsibilities
- Conduct credit due diligence on trade finance borrowers across management, financial, industry, and business risk.
- Identify credit and operational risks in receivables and payables financing, import/export financing, factoring, commodity trade financing, inventory financing, buy-sell transactions, and risk participation.
- Analyze financial statements, early-warning indicators, and collections activity.
- Manage portfolio risk exposure, collections, remediation, and recoveries proactively.
- Identify key risks and align stakeholders on risk mitigation actions.
- Interact with risk consultants, recovery agents, insurance companies, brokers, and other external service providers.
- Provide credit risk support and solutions for transactions and cases in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Review term sheets and vet loan-related documentation with borrowers.
Role Requirements
- Experience or capability in credit due diligence for trade finance borrowers.
- Ability to analyze financial statements, early-warning indicators, collections, and portfolio risk exposure.
- Understanding of credit and operational risks in trade finance documentation and transactions.
- Ability to comply with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to review term sheets and loan-related documentation.
