Job Overview

Application Assessment and Underwriting
- Review lease applications for completeness, accuracy, eligibility, credit-policy compliance, and product-criteria compliance.
- Validate identity, residency, visa, salary, employment, banking, trade-license, and corporate financial documentation.
- Interpret credit bureau reports and verify employer, income, and contact details.
Affordability and Risk Analysis
- Calculate disposable income, debt burden, and affordability headroom using obligations, dependants, housing costs, and proposed lease rental.
- Assess income stability, employer standing, sector risk, service length, and contract or commission-based earnings.
- Analyze corporate and fleet liquidity, leverage, profitability, cash flow, related-party exposure, guarantees, and asset structure risk.
Fraud, KYC, and Compliance
- Complete customer due diligence, beneficial ownership checks, identity verification, sanctions screening, and adverse media screening.
- Identify fraud, forgery, income inflation, and identity-misuse indicators and escalate suspicious cases without alerting applicants.
- Process applications in line with company policy, UAE anti-money laundering requirements, and confidentiality obligations.
Decisioning and Recommendations
- Prepare credit assessment notes describing applicant profiles, risks, mitigants, and recommended decisions.
- Approve or decline within delegated authority and present borderline or higher-value cases to the approving authority.
- Recommend risk-based changes to tenor, down payment, security, guarantees, or pricing and communicate decisions to sales.
Portfolio and Continuous Improvement
- Monitor arrears, delinquency, early payment default, and concentration by employer, sector, nationality band, and vehicle segment.
- Support collections and recovery through account analysis, restructuring assessments, and repossession recommendations.
- Maintain auditable records, produce performance reporting, and improve credit policy, scoring, authority levels, and fraud controls.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking, or a related field.
- Three to five years of credit analysis or underwriting experience in vehicle leasing, auto finance, banking, or a non-banking financial institution.
- UAE market experience with credit bureau data and local employment, visa, and income documentation is essential.
- Professional credit, risk, or accounting qualification is an advantage.
- Retail and corporate or fleet lending exposure is highly preferred.
Skills and Attributes
- Strong analytical ability, financial statement analysis, bank statement analysis, and credit bureau interpretation.
- Working knowledge of UAE credit, KYC, and anti-money laundering requirements.
- Advanced MS Excel skills and experience with credit and loan management systems.
- Fluent English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
- Clear communication, integrity, objectivity, discretion, and constructive collaboration with sales are expected.
