Role overview
Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor for its Denver-area team.
The team supports mission-critical data centers, corporate real estate, and infrastructure through cost management, project controls, and commercial consultancy.
The role supports public- and private-sector clients across the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on procurement and commercial strategies, including vendor prequalification, proposal assessment, bid leveling, and contract recommendations.
- Lead estimating across project phases for construction, fees, direct work, and other project costs.
- Review junior team estimates and present cost plans, value engineering recommendations, and risk assessments.
- Review and challenge contractor, supplier, and vendor costs using comparable-project benchmarks.
- Prepare cost reports and forecasts, review budgets and spend forecasts, and maintain commercial risk registers.
- Manage payment applications, contractor entitlements, change orders, disputes, invoicing, final accounts, audits, and closeout.
- Conduct lessons-learned reviews, contribute to training materials, and develop handover and closeout procedures.
- Use bid analysis sheets, change control forms, cost estimating software, take-off software, and other commercial tools.
- Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.
