Role Overview
The Cost Controller monitors and analyzes the budget for a defined scope within a large construction project.
The role supports reliable management data, financial reporting, and compliance with established cost-control processes.
Budget Management
- Contribute to initial budgets and periodic forecasts at completion.
- Monitor commitments, accrued costs, progress, and remaining work daily.
- Update management databases and operational tracking files.
Reporting and Dashboards
- Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly budget-monitoring reports.
- Update dashboards for concrete, labor, equipment, and other operational costs.
- Analyze budget-to-actual variances and recommend adjustments with operational teams.
Cost Recognition and Compliance
- Prepare accrued-expense entries at the end of each reporting period.
- Verify spending authorizations, committed costs, and forecasts.
- Track subcontractor agreements and validate strategic data, risks, and opportunities.
