Responsibilities
- Monitor and control project costs throughout the entire project lifecycle
- Prepare project budgets, cost plans, cash flow forecasts, and cost reports
- Track actual project costs against approved budgets and identify variances
- Analyze cost trends and recommend corrective actions to maintain budget objectives
- Review and verify contractor invoices, purchase orders, subcontractor payments, and variation orders
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Procurement, Finance, and Commercial teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and reporting
- Prepare monthly cost reports, budget forecasts, and management dashboards
- Monitor procurement costs and ensure cost effective purchasing practices
- Assist in tender evaluations and cost estimation for new developments
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies, internal controls, and approval procedures
- Support financial planning, budgeting exercises, and project feasibility studies
- Identify potential cost risks and recommend mitigation strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cost Controller
- Mandatory UAE experience in real estate development or construction companies
- Strong understanding of project costing, budgeting, forecasting, and cost reporting
- Experience monitoring multiple construction projects simultaneously
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or similar is highly preferred

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with large scale residential, commercial, or mixed use developments
- Professional certifications such as CMA, ACCA, CPA, PMP, or RICS are an advantage
- Experience collaborating with Procurement, Contracts, Commercial, and Finance teams
- Knowledge of UAE construction practices and project financial controls
