Position Summary
Experienced cost controller responsible for monitoring project costs, analyzing budget performance, controlling expenditures, and supporting financial efficiency throughout construction project lifecycles.
The role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts, and monitor expenditure against approved budgets.
- Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses for management review.
- Track commitments, purchase orders, subcontractor payments, and project expenses.
- Coordinate with project managers, procurement, finance, and site teams on cost-control compliance.
- Review contracts, variations, claims, and change orders from a cost perspective.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure accurate cost allocation and reporting across multiple projects.
- Support project planning and tendering through cost analysis and benchmarking.
- Maintain documentation and records for project costs and financial controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or a related field.
- At least five years of cost-control experience within construction or contracting companies.
- Strong understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Experience with commercial, mixed-use, or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Saudi construction market practices is highly preferred.
- Cost estimation and project financial analysis.
- Contract administration and variation management.
- Advanced reporting and forecasting capabilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
