Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong **Corporate Tax Accountant** to join our Doha office.
This role is responsible for managing corporate tax compliance, supporting tax planning initiatives, and ensuring adherence to Qatar’s regulatory requirements while maintaining accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review corporate tax computations and filings in compliance with Qatar tax regulations
- Ensure timely submission of tax returns and supporting documentation
- Manage VAT reporting, reconciliations, and compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate tax records and ensure proper documentation control
- Monitor changes in tax laws and assess their impact on business operations
- Support tax planning strategies to optimize corporate tax efficiency
- Assist in tax audits and liaise with regulatory authorities when required
- Collaborate with finance teams during month-end and year-end closing processes
- Identify tax risks and recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CTA, or equivalent) preferred
- Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in corporate tax or tax accounting
- Strong knowledge of Qatar tax regulations and VAT framework
- Solid understanding of IFRS and financial reporting standards
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines effectively
- Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
