About the Role

State Street is seeking a Senior Associate to manage end-to-end post-trade custody operations for the Saudi Arabia market.

The role covers securities settlement, cash and FX support, corporate actions and income, reconciliations, and onboarding and account setup.

The schedule is Sunday to Thursday.

KSA Market Coverage

The role requires familiarity with Saudi market practices and the KSA post-trade ecosystem.

Trading occurs on Saudi Exchange, clearing is handled through Muqassa, and depository and settlement are handled through Edaa.

Settlement cash movements are supported through SAMA.

Clearing and Settlement

  • Process settlement for Saudi Exchange equities, ETFs, Sukuk, and bonds as applicable through Edaa.
  • Reconcile and validate trade and settlement obligations against client instructions, broker confirmations, Muqassa outcomes, and Edaa processing.
  • Monitor settlement status, manage potential fails, and follow KSA fails workflows.
  • Manage settlement instruction amendments, cancellations, and partial settlement in line with Edaa procedures and local cut-offs.

Cash, FX, and Income

  • Ensure funding readiness for DvP settlement and perform cash reconciliations linked to settlement activity.
  • Process FX-related operational activities, validate confirmations, and ensure correct value dating and SSI usage.
  • Manage corporate actions and income events, including entitlements, postings, reconciliations, vendor feeds, and security setup.

Onboarding and Controls

  • Support client onboarding, account setup, investor identification, and QFI onboarding requirements.
  • Use SWIFT ISO 15022 and exposure to ISO 20022 for settlement, reconciliation, and corporate actions messaging.
  • Execute daily controls and checklists, meet local cut-offs, follow internal policies, and escalate high-risk issues.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external market stakeholders to resolve issues and improve outcomes.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of experience in custody or post-trade operations.
  • Experience in the KSA market is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of KSA post-trade flows across Muqassa and Edaa, including T+2 and DvP cash settlement via SAMA.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under strict cut-offs.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
