- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of copy editors, writers, and content reviewers
- Review, edit, and refine content for grammar, clarity, consistency, and accuracy
- Develop and maintain editorial style guides, tone of voice guidelines, and proofreading standards
- Ensure all content aligns with brand messaging and communication objectives
- Collaborate with content, marketing, design, and product teams on content development
- Oversee quality assurance processes for all written materials before publication
- Manage editorial workflows, deadlines, and content approval processes
- Conduct fact checking and ensure accuracy of all published materials
- Provide constructive feedback to writers and content creators to improve quality
- Stay updated on language trends, editorial standards, and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Linguistics, or a related field preferred
- 3–7 years of experience in copy editing, proofreading, publishing, or editorial roles
- 1–3 years of leadership or team management experience preferred
- Exceptional grammar, writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Strong understanding of editorial style guides (e.g., AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style)
- Experience working with CMS platforms and digital publishing workflows
- Excellent attention to detail and strong quality control mindset
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
