Position Purpose
Support a global team responsible for smooth and timely logistics execution for Corning shipments across all transportation modes.
Provide global coverage with a primary focus on real-time entry of ocean and air shipment milestones for accurate tracking.
Support logistics operational excellence, supply chain disruption mitigation, and adherence to Corning logistics policies.
Transportation Execution
- Book, confirm, and schedule shipments with Corning logistics providers.
- Enter daily milestones and updates for all global ocean and air shipments.
- Provide track and trace or escalation support across ocean, air, truck, parcel, and rail modes.
- Manage the daily hot list of critical shipments and communicate updates to key stakeholders.
- Input and manage transportation transactional data in the ERP system, including transit times and order closeouts.
- Ensure logistics procedures are followed throughout the shipment process.
- Participate in or host daily, weekly, and monthly operational review meetings.
- Submit air freight approvals.
