Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator for a 12-month work term.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Coordinator (MRO) is responsible for managing maintenance materials, spare parts procurement, and inventory processes to support equipment reliability and maintenance execution.
The role owns the availability, accuracy, and control of maintenance materials and inventory, ensuring that parts are available when needed, inventory levels are optimized, and CMMS data is accurate and audit‑ready.
The Maintenance Coordinator (MRO) supports maintenance planning and scheduling by ensuring materials are ready but does not plan, schedule, or execute maintenance work.
How you will make contributions that matter:
• Procure maintenance parts (routine, critical, and project‑related) through approved systems (Ariba, Maestro, SAP).
• Maintain and optimize MRO inventory based on usage, criticality, and reliability needs.
• Ensure parts availability for planned maintenance work, including PMs, repairs, and shutdowns.
• Support plant and engineering projects by ensuring required materials, spare parts, and vendor services are available and ready to support planned work.
• Track and manage work orders waiting on parts, urgent requests, and critical spares.
• Manage the red‑tag and repairable parts process, including vendor follow‑up, quality checks, and return to service.
• Maintain accurate CMMS records for inventory, purchasing, and repair activities.
• Lead cycle counts, annual physical inventory, and audit alignment processes.
• Work with the Maintenance Planner to improve BOM accuracy and parts standardization.
• Identify repeat part failures, obsolete components, and inventory gaps to support reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Maintenance, Production, Engineering, Quality, H&S) to improve materials readiness and workflow efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.
You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:
• Postsecondary education in engineering, technology, trades, supply chain, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or maintenance environment.
• Strong knowledge of MRO inventory management and maintenance practices.
• CMMS experience (SAP preferred).
