Cook, substitute

On call positions working in our Head Start Programs.

Cook will prepare and serve nutritious hot meals appropriate for children, parents and staff in Children’s Services Program.

Approximately 80-120 meals a day.

Position starts out between $17.00 - $18.00 per hour and will earn sick leave.

Position will work in the Carpinteria, Santa Barbara & Goleta areas.

REQUIRES: High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Two years’ experience as a kitchen helper with CommUnify or comparable experience in food preparation for groups required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer knowledge.

Must obtain and maintain a Pediatric First Aid and CPR card.

B ilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Current or former Head Start parent highly desired.
