Position Information

Food Preparation and Cooking

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, cutting, storing, washing, and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables.
• Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients according to recipes and food preparation checklists.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and checklists.
• Prepare cold food items.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Test food for doneness and monitor food quality during preparation.
• Organize food work areas and portion and serve food in appropriate containers.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment.
• Check appliance and food temperatures for accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• At least one year of related work experience is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is required or listed.
• No license or certification is listed.

Work Standards and Physical Requirements

• Follow company, safety, and security policies and procedures and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Report maintenance and repair needs, incidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to a manager.
• Maintain a neat, professional uniform and personal appearance and protect confidential information and company property.
• Communicate professionally, maintain positive working relationships, and support team goals.
• Stand, sit, and walk for extended periods and bend, twist, pull, stoop, and reach above and below the knees.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Perform other reasonable tasks as requested by a supervisor.
