Position Details

Cook II-Pastry position in the Food and Beverage Culinary department at a Marriott property in Dubai.

The schedule is full time and the position is non-management.

The position is not remote and requires work at the hotel location.

Core Duties

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and preparation checklists.
  • Prepare, portion, chop, and store ingredients before use.
  • Use measuring and baking tools, equipment, and appliances safely and properly.
  • Follow food safety and personal hygiene procedures.
  • Check appliance and food temperatures and report problems to management.
  • Wash and sanitise kitchen areas and organise workstations.
  • Monitor food quality and portion sizes throughout the workday.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions.
  • Complete required safety training and certifications.
  • Maintain professional communication, teamwork, confidentiality, and protection of company property.
  • Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds and working on uneven or slippery surfaces.
  • Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Desirable Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is listed as desirable.
  • Less than one year of related work experience is listed as desirable.
  • No supervisory experience is required.
  • No license or certification is required.
  • The role requires prolonged standing, sitting, or walking and frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting.
