Position Summary
Prepare special meals, substitute food items, and prepare cold foods.
Cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
Support guest service, team goals, workplace safety, and company policies.
Food Preparation and Quality
- Regulate the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
- Thaw frozen food in the refrigerator.
- Ensure proper portions, arrangement, and garnish.
- Maintain food logs.
- Monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food.
- Inform the Chef about excess food for daily specials.
- Inform Food and Beverage staff about menu specials and unavailable menu items.
- Ensure the quality of food products.
Team and Guest Service
- Communicate assistance needed during busy periods.
- Assist management with employee hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
- Anticipate and address guest service needs.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language.
- Maintain positive working relationships and support common team goals.
