Position Summary
Cook I position in Marriott International's Food and Beverage and Culinary function.
The position is full time, non-management, and located in Doha, Qatar.
The role is not remote and requires food preparation, cooking, quality control, and kitchen support.
Core Duties
- Prepare special meals, substitute items, cold foods, and food prepared according to recipes and checklists.
- Regulate cooking temperatures and thaw frozen food in refrigerated storage.
- Ensure appropriate portions, arrangement, garnishing, quality, and presentation.
- Maintain food logs and monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food.
- Communicate assistance needs, menu specials, and unavailable menu items to relevant teams.
- Inform the Chef about excess food for use in daily specials.
- Assist management with employee hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
- Follow company, safety, and security policies and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, protect company assets, and maintain confidentiality.
- Anticipate guest service needs and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
