Position details
The position is Cook I in the Food and Beverage and Culinary category.
The role is full-time and non-management.
The position is located on Airport Road in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Culinary duties
- Prepare special meals, substitute dishes, cold foods, and menu items.
- Regulate ovens, broilers, grills, and roasting ovens.
- Thaw frozen food safely in the refrigerator.
- Prepare portions, presentations, and garnishes to standard.
- Maintain food logs and monitor food quality and quantity.
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and preparation checklists.
- Notify the chef about surplus food and inform service staff about removed items and specials.
Team and service duties
- Indicate when additional help is required during busy periods.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, motivation, and employee coaching.
- Anticipate and address guest service needs.
- Use clear and courteous language in communications.
- Build positive professional relationships with colleagues and support shared goals.
