Position Summary

Food Preparation and Cooking

• Portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
• Prepare cold foods and cook food according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Test food for sufficient cooking and monitor food quality.
• Serve food in proper portions onto appropriate receptacles.

Kitchen Operations

• Set up and break down the work station.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Check and ensure the correct temperature of appliances and food.

Preferred Qualifications

• A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
• At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is required.

Physical and Workplace Requirements

• The role requires standing, sitting, or walking for an extended period or an entire work shift.
• The role requires reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• The role requires moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Safety and Conduct

• Follow company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance, protect company assets, and maintain confidentiality.
• Communicate clearly and professionally and support positive working relationships.
