Clarendale of Algonquin is recruiting for a hospitality-focused Chef/Cook to join our team!

This position partners with the rest of our culinary team in preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our residents, families and guests.

Teamwork is essential as our kitchen staff works together to create breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days each week.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Chef/Cook:

• Prepare and produce food options from our menu in a manner compliant with required nutritional/dietary criteria.
• Correctly prepare meals for residents with dietary restrictions, following our policies and procedures.
• Exemplify community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and organization in the workspace and with equipment.
• Meet food quality, timeliness, appearance and presentation standards at all times.
• Interact with residents periodically to gather feedback about meal quality/temperature/appearance and share feedback with culinary team to support continuous improvement.
• Represent the community in a warm and inviting manner with colleagues, residents, families and tours.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

• High school diploma required.
• Culinary degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year restaurant/senior living or equivalent cooking experience preferred.
• Batch cooking experience preferred.

Pay Range: $21.00/hr. - $23.00/hr. based on experience.
