Summary/Objective
Design, build, and test control systems for superconducting particle accelerators and periphery equipment with an emphasis on robust designs that can operate long-term in a challenging production environment.
Essential Functions
Possesses general knowledge of various hardware and software used in the control of manufacturing processes and equipment.
Applies understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Ladder Logic, and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) to design, modify or improve control systems.
Performs work of moderate complexity involving incumbent's plan and carry out the assignments in conformance with accepted policies and practices.
Typically adheres to instructions, policies, precedents, and guidelines in exercising judgment to resolve commonly encountered work problems.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor?s degree in engineering, electrical, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering preferred.
2-4 years of experience in a related field.
Strong cause-effect analytical abilities to solve problems.

Physical Demands
The position operates in a professional office and industrial environments which includes the use of standard office equipment and/or machinery related to the production of medical isotopes.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to (20 - 50) pounds.
