A DAY IN THE LIFE
Responsible for day-to-day field operations for the sites assigned to you
Direct and control the total controls project to meet specifications and within the allotted time schedule in an efficient manner to produce the expected profit
Address day-to-day crew issues and ensure problems are resolved professionally
Make decisions under tight deadlines
Organize people, tools, and equipment and plan/manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results
Assist during project preconstruction with project management staff and foreman to improve job site mobilizations. This may include but is not limited to scheduling, installation markups, bulk buy development, crew size planning, tool planning, lift planning, etc.
Help identify potential upcoming challenges and address them early to create better project outcomes
Serve as field representative in customer/owner meetings, providing customer service experience
Assist in general problem solving individual projects, helping to resolve coordination issues or questions
Conduct quality audits on active projects. This will require trips with project managers to document on-site installations for proper installation. This may include but is not limited to the following: Ensure all 2OC equipment is tracked, received, and inventoried Ensure all work is installed per approved shop drawings Ensure all work is installed per 2OC installation drawings and markups Ensure all material specifications are being followed Flagging any work that may need to be revised based on installation quality

Ensure 2OC subcontractors are installing work per standards and working safely/effectively
Conduct monthly safety audits on active projects to ensure all 2OC safety standards are being met
Correct any issues in safety including unsafe personnel actions or inadequate equipment
Implement and reinforce safety procedures while on active projects
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma, GED, trade school
- 5-15+ years' of controls and/or electrical field experience, with at least 5 of those years leading or supervising controls-related scopes of work.
- Ability to travel to construction projects across the country.
- Computer skills: proficiency in using Word, Excel, Outlook, time entry, and project scheduling programs.
- Possess and maintain a current, valid driver license in your state of residence
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to: standing or walking for long periods of time, occasionally on uneven terrain, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and/or lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds
