Serves as subject matter expert on retrofit control systems and electrical engineering principles and provides expert knowledge and guidance to colleagues as needed.
Provides control systems design technical leadership in a matrixed environment, ensuring on-time schedule, performance, project milestones, customer deliverables, and compliance with regulations and standards.
Applies electrical engineering principles to analyze, propose, design, program, test and troubleshoot control systems associated within complex material handling systems.
Reviews contract documentation and customer specifications and creates equipment specifications and detailed design documentation for the development of appropriate control solutions.
Supports realization team on project installation, commissioning and testing of control systems, traveling frequently as required.
Develops technical documentation including control system specifications and engineering procedures and assists with creation of user manuals.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical degree, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of four (4) years of controls engineering experience, preferably in a material-handling, industrial, or manufacturing environment. (Retrofit experience preferred.)
Advanced knowledge of PLC ladder logic and programming and proficiency in Siemens, Rockwell and Allen Bradley PLCs.
Thorough understanding of fieldbus systems and I/O equipment, e.g., Profibus, Profinet, ASi, TCP/IP.
