About This Role
The Controls Field Engineer commissions building automation systems created specifically for individual customers.
The role serves as a technical and product expert who solves complex problems, programs BAS controllers, and acts as a field point of contact.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and optimize advanced building automation systems.
- Serve as a local contact for technical issues and a leader in the field.
- Provide solutions for increasingly complex system issues.
- Deliver turnkey projects ranging from small to medium scale.
- Ensure controls, sensors, and software operate properly.
- Load software and configure trends, alarms, and reports.
- Communicate and document project status and details for customers.
- Provide site-specific training to building owners and operators.
- Use time-management strategies to support customer satisfaction.
