Role Overview
Support control systems engineering from project startup through handover to the permanent asset.
Ensure deliverables meet expectations for safety, operability, reliability, and maintainability throughout the facility design life cycle.
Engineering Responsibilities
- Provide control systems engineering support through design reviews, studies, failure analysis, and advanced troubleshooting.
- Develop surveillance and administration programs for critical control systems to improve reliability, availability, and cyber security.
- Define and document best practices and recommend performance improvement initiatives.
- Develop plans and work schedules to meet activity requirements and section and division KPIs.
- Provide technical input to other disciplines and functions.
- Control and supervise contractors, consultants, and service providers.
- Guide less experienced engineers in implementing integrity and reliability systems.
- Support project tie-in requirements for systems within the area of responsibility.
- Maintain an issue register and resolve critical issues and technology risks affecting reliability, availability, and cyber security.
- Support high-risk commissioning through system surveillance, tuning, optimization, and advisory support to Operations and Maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- At least 8 years of experience in the specialization within the oil and gas industry.
- Expert-level knowledge of Industrial Control Systems, including DCS, Triconex, CCC, and PLCs.
- Ability to work and make decisions under highly stressful conditions.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Strong leadership and people skills.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office and SAP.
Compensation
- The posting states a day rate in USD plus allowance.
Work Schedule
- The stated work schedule is 10 hours per day and 6 days per week.
Duration and Location
The stated duration is 2 years, with possible extension.
