Control Room Operator - Rotherham

Salary: £37,455.60 per annum

• The Control Room Operator (SCADA) is responsible for operating the MBT Plant. You will control flow and processing of waste by utilising remote control overhead gantry cranes and refining equipment while ensuring health & safety and environmental compliance, whilst contributing to the continuous improvement in productivity, plant availability and the requirements of sub products produced.

Key responsibilities

• · Operate and monitor all MBT control systems.
• · Optimise crane movements including waste placement and Refinement throughput.
• · Diagnosing operating problems and undertaking necessary corrective action.
• · Coordinating with the Engineering team, providing feedback on breakdowns to prioritise critical incidents.
• · Carry out site fly treatments and review fly monitoring data in line with the site fly management plan
• · Stock control & accurate reporting of contract & non contract waste
• · Providing accurate and detailed records of all plant operations, settings and stoppages.
• · Logging crane data and downtime to produce weekly pareto.
• · Always maintain safe operations of the site.
• · Monitoring and responding to fires, alarms and faults on the site fire system.
• · Working towards daily, weekly and monthly KPI’s.
• · Adhering to health & safety and environmental legislation and Company policies to ensure defined standards and best practice are implemented while remaining compliant with the site environmental permit and PFI contract.
