Role Overview
The Senior Control and Protection System Engineering Manager leads teams responsible for HVDC Control and Protection system design, integration, analysis, and testing.
The role spans conceptual design, modelling, simulation, validation, implementation, and commissioning across multiple international projects.
The position focuses on engineering strategy, governance, capability building, process improvement, and technical quality.
Engineering and Technical Leadership
- Oversee daily departmental operations and ensure consistent design practices and global process adherence.
- Own HVDC Control and Protection system deployment, configuration, validation, and integration challenges.
- Guide project analysis and evaluation against business, product, program, tender, and technical requirements.
- Promote Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost principles across teams.
Modelling and Simulation
- Lead electromagnetic transient studies using PSCAD and EMTP-RV.
- Model control and protection systems using MATLAB/Simulink.
- Perform network conversion, modelling, tuning, and verification using PSSE, PSCAD, and RSCAD.
