Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category and contracting strategies

- Oversee contract drafting, review, and approval
- Lead deal making and negotiations with strategic suppliers

Job Description
- Gulf Drilling International is seeking a Contracts Lead to develop and execute category and contracting strategies, lead sourcing and negotiations, and manage supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category and contracting strategies challenging the status quo.
- Lead cross functional collaboration across Operations, Technical, Business Development, Legal, Finance, and IT.
- Implement robust contracting, procurement, and inventory management strategies.
- Lead execution of sourcing activities including competitive tenders and single/sole source negotiations.
- Prepare comprehensive Strategy and Award Recommendation papers for Tender Committee.
- Oversee drafting, review, and approval of contracts ensuring compliance.
- Lead deal making and negotiations with complex/strategic suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key strategic suppliers.
- Coordinate contract kick off meetings and Business Performance Reviews.
- Establish contract management governance models.
- Evaluate and assess claims and disputes from contractors.
- Monitor contract spend vs commitments and provide timely updates.
Qualifications
- Strategic thought leader with experience in category and contracting strategy.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels.
- Proven ability to lead sourcing and negotiations.
- Deep understanding of legal/contractual terms and conditions.
- Experience in supplier relationship management and performance improvement.
