The Contractor Program Security Officer will assist in overseeing and managing physical and operational security measures to safeguard personnel, facilities, and classified information within a highly sensitive intelligence community environment.
This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, agency, and local security regulations, identifying and mitigating threats, and maintaining a secure operational site.
This role is hybrid onsite in Herndon, VA.
- Site Security Management: Support personnel security, physical security, document control, and classified networks. Assist with building and maintaining classified secured areas. Conduct regular security assessments and inspections of the tenant site to identify and address vulnerabilities. Implement and enforce security protocols in accordance with intelligence community standards. Manage access control systems, visitor management, and badging operations.

- Compliance & Reporting: Develop and maintain site-specific security plans (SSSPs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Prepare and submit security reports, audits, and incident logs to appropriate authorities. Ensure compliance with relevant security clearance requirements and training.

Required
- Bachelor’s degree in security or cybersecurity field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in security operations, physical security, or a related role within the intelligence or defense community.
- Proven experience managing access control systems and conducting site inspections.
- Strong knowledge of security regulations and standards
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Proficiency in security technologies and software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
