- Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available solutions on Google Cloud Platform using Terraform
- Assess business and technical requirements and define cloud architectures
- Lead the deployment and optimization of cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate cloud services with existing systems
- Ensure alignment with best practices for performance, security, and cost efficiency
- Document solutions and provide technical guidance
- Support continuous improvement of cloud standards and processes
Requirements
- Strong Solution Architecture skills, including designing end to end GCP based solutions
- Hands on Infrastructure experience with GCP services, Terraform (9+ years preferred), networking, security, and infrastructure as code
- Background in Software Development
- Expertise in Integration and Architecture, including integrating cloud solutions with on premises systems
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Professional Cloud Architect, Terraform) are highly advantageous
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Kubernetes), and monitoring/logging tools
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience

Role Description
- The GCP Cloud Architect | Terraform role is a contract, on site position based in Riyadh. The individual will design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available solutions on Google Cloud Platform using Terraform and other infrastructure as code practices.
- Daily responsibilities include assessing business and technical requirements, defining cloud architectures, and leading the deployment and optimization of cloud infrastructure.
- The role involves collaborating with development and operations teams, integrating cloud services with existing systems, and ensuring alignment with best practices for performance, security, and cost efficiency.
- The architect will also document solutions, provide technical guidance, and support continuous improvement of cloud standards and processes.
Qualifications
- Strong Solution Architecture skills, including designing end to end GCP based solutions that meet business, security, and compliance requirements.
- Hands on Infrastructure experience with GCP services, Terraform (9+ years preferred), networking, security, and infrastructure as code methodologies.
- Background in Software Development, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and understand application deployment patterns.
- Expertise in Integration and Architecture, including integrating cloud solutions with on premises systems and defining scalable reference architectures.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Professional Cloud Architect, Terraform or related DevOps certifications) are highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Kubernetes), and monitoring/logging tools within cloud environments.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in on site, cross functional teams.

Work Location
- Initially based in India for the first two to three months of the project. Subsequently relocated to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the remaining project duration.
