Serve as a customer-facing technical leader responsible for business outcomes, customer loyalty, and satisfaction through Cisco technical services.
Support designated high-demand customers across the Data Center technology lifecycle and act as a liaison with Cisco's support organization.
Core responsibilities
- Lead complex Data Center network problem resolution across Nexus switching, ACI fabrics, UCS compute, storage networking, virtualization, and compute or storage integration.
- Produce root-cause analyses, remediation plans, prevention recommendations, and technical documentation for infrastructure and application-interconnect issues.
- Monitor customer Data Center trends and deliver quarterly technical reviews covering findings, metrics, and strategic action plans.
- Coordinate resolution strategies with Account Teams, Cisco TAC, Product Business Units, and High Touch Operations Managers.
- Support Data Center rollouts, migrations, and fabric expansions through remote or onsite deployment assistance, including occasional travel.
- Create reusable tools, scripts, and best-practice documentation.
Minimum qualifications
- Typically requires a BS in a technical field, preferably computer science or electrical engineering, plus 10 or more years of related experience, or an MS in a technical field.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus switches, ACI, and UCS.
- Experience with Data Center fabric architectures and VxLAN, EVPN, FabricPath, OTV, LISP, or DCI.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, Multicast, STP, HSRP, VRRP, and QoS, including packet-level troubleshooting with Wireshark.
- Experience with SAN and storage networking, VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, Nexus Dashboard, and UCS Manager or IMC.
Preferred qualifications
- Cisco certifications such as CCNP or CCIE Data Center are preferred.
- Executive-level presentation and strong verbal and written communication skills are preferred.
- Understanding of Data Center security, segmentation, and zero-trust architecture is preferred.
- Exposure to network management systems, telemetry, monitoring tools, and agile methodology is preferred.
Work arrangement
- The role includes remote or onsite deployment support and occasional travel for high-impact customer engagements.
