Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Urology Surgeon to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi.

The successful candidate will diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of urological conditions in adult and/or pediatric patients, performing advanced surgical and minimally invasive procedures while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to excellence in urological surgical services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage urological conditions including kidney stones, prostate diseases, urinary tract infections, bladder disorders, and urologic cancers.
  • Perform urological surgical procedures including endoscopic, laparoscopic, and open surgeries.
  • Manage emergency urological cases such as urinary obstruction, trauma, and acute infections.
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations for urology patients.
  • Perform minimally invasive procedures such as cystoscopy, TURP, ureteroscopy, and stone removal.
  • Collaborate with nephrology, oncology, radiology, emergency medicine, and other specialties for comprehensive patient care.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and long-term follow-up care.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with DOH Abu Dhabi regulations and hospital policies.
  • Participate in clinical audits, research, teaching, and CME activities.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control, patient safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi.
  • Board Certification / Fellowship in Urology.
  • Valid DOH Consultant License or Eligibility Letter in Urology.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of post-specialist experience in a tertiary care or academic hospital.
  • Strong expertise in endourology and minimally invasive urological surgery.
  • Excellent surgical and clinical decision-making skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in laparoscopic and robotic urological surgery.
  • Exposure to uro-oncology and complex reconstructive urology.
  • Academic or research background is an advantage.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural healthcare environment.
