Job purpose

Provide technical assistance for insecticide-treated net campaigns, particularly in logistics, strategy, operations, and monitoring and evaluation.

Provide short-term support for AMP guidance documents, tools, and quality control of technical assistance outputs.

Support the Alliance for Malaria Prevention's objective of expanding universal malaria prevention coverage through mass and continuous distribution channels.

Job duties and responsibilities

  • Provide logistics and operations technical assistance for ITN campaigns and fill gaps in technical assistance as needed.
  • Support national malaria programmes and partners with guidance and technical support for ITN distribution objectives.
  • Review campaign and logistics plans of action, annexes, and other documents.
  • Support country exchange, experience sharing, and technical capacity strengthening.
  • Ensure quality control, standardization, and alignment of AMP technical assistance deliverables with guidance and best practices.
  • Build capacity in supply chain management and logistics for AMP teams, national malaria programmes, and partners.
  • Participate in ad hoc and theme-specific calls.
  • Submit situation reports and provide updates during weekly AMP calls.
  • Review situation reports and coordinate with technical assistance providers on country-specific support.

High-quality AMP technical assistance work products that supported countries can use successfully.

Guidance and technical support that help national malaria programmes and partners achieve ITN distribution objectives.

Quality control, backstopping, and surge support for AMP technical assistance teams.

Situation report reviews for ongoing AMP technical assistance.

Organization and support for training sessions, webinars, and online learning courses.

Assignment period

  • The consultancy assignment will run until 31 December 2026.

Education and experience

  • Advanced university degree at master's level in public health, social science, public administration, business administration, or a related area.
  • At least 7 years of experience with mass ITN distribution campaigns, mass vaccination campaigns, or other large-scale health programmes.
  • At least 5 years of experience in ITN campaign strategy, logistics, and monitoring and evaluation.

Knowledge, skills and languages

  • Working knowledge of French is required.
  • Working knowledge of English is desired.
