Responsibilities
- Lead the assessment and management of acute stroke and transient ischemic attack (TIA) patients
- Oversee thrombolysis and advanced stroke intervention pathways in coordination with neurology and interventional teams
- Provide expert clinical management for ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke cases
- Develop and implement stroke protocols, clinical pathways, and rapid response systems
- Manage inpatient and outpatient stroke rehabilitation and secondary prevention strategies
- Interpret neuroimaging (CT, MRI, angiography) for acute and chronic cerebrovascular conditions
- Collaborate with neurology, emergency medicine, ICU, radiology, rehabilitation, and vascular teams
- Participate in stroke audits, morbidity & mortality meetings, and clinical governance activities
- Ensure compliance with international stroke care guidelines and patient safety standards
- Contribute to teaching, training, and supervision of junior medical staff
Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from a recognized institution
- Postgraduate qualification in Neurology, Stroke Medicine, or Internal Medicine with stroke subspecialty training (FRCP, CCT, Board Certification, or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years post specialization experience
- Strong expertise in acute stroke management, thrombolysis, and cerebrovascular care pathways
- Experience in multidisciplinary stroke unit or comprehensive stroke center preferred
- Excellent clinical judgment, leadership, and decision making skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Commitment to evidence based practice and clinical excellence

Job Overview
