Role Overview

  • Position: Consultant / Specialist Pediatric Cardiologist

  • Hospital Type: Private / Government / Multispecialty / Tertiary Care (JCI accredited)
  • Experience Required: Minimum 3–5+ years post specialist / board certification
  • Clinical Scope: Pediatric cardiology, congenital heart disease, interventional and non invasive cardiology

Eligibility & Board Recognition

  • American Board of Pediatrics (Cardiology)
  • UK CCT / MRCPCH + Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship
  • European Board Certification
  • Royal College Certification (Canada)
  • Australian Fellowship
  • Arab Board
  • DM / MD/ DNB Pediatric Cardiology / equivalent recognised super specialty qualification
  • Eligibility for Dubai Health Authority (DHA) / Department of Health Abu Dhabi (DOH) license conversion

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage congenital and acquired heart diseases in pediatric patients
  • Perform and interpret echocardiography, ECG, cardiac MRI, and stress testing
  • Conduct pediatric cardiac catheterization, balloon angioplasty, and interventional procedures
  • Provide pre and post operative cardiac evaluation in collaboration with pediatric cardiac surgeons
  • Manage neonatal and critical pediatric cardiac cases, including ICU involvement
  • Deliver long term care for chronic cardiac conditions and follow up management
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including neonatology, PICU, and pediatric surgery
  • Counsel families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis with empathy and clarity
  • Participate in clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Supervise and mentor junior doctors, residents, and medical students
  • Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations and international best practices
