Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage eye conditions including refractive errors, cataracts, glaucoma, retinal disorders, and ocular infections
- Perform ophthalmic surgical procedures including cataract surgery and other microsurgical interventions
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations including visual acuity testing, slit lamp examination, and fundoscopic evaluation
- Interpret and utilise advanced diagnostic tools such as OCT, visual field testing, and retinal imaging
- Manage chronic ophthalmic conditions including glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy
- Provide pre operative assessment and post operative care for surgical patients
- Collaborate with optometrists, endocrinologists, neurologists, and other specialists for multidisciplinary care
- Provide patient education on eye health, vision care, and preventive strategies
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records in compliance with regulatory standards
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and ophthalmology programs
- Ensure adherence to international ophthalmology guidelines and UAE healthcare regulations
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years post specialty experience
- Recognized specialist qualification (e.g., American Board of Ophthalmology, UK CCT/FRCOphth, etc.)
- Eligibility for DOH/DHA/MOH licensing

Key Responsibilities – Ophthalmology
- Diagnose and manage eye conditions, including refractive errors, cataracts, glaucoma, retinal disorders, and ocular infections

- MS / MD / DNB / FCPS Ophthalmology or equivalent recognised specialist qualification
- Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for DOH / DHA / MOH licensing.
