Role Overview

A reputable healthcare provider in Dubai is expanding primary care services and seeking a Family Medicine Consultant/Specialist.

The role provides comprehensive, patient-centred outpatient care within a multispecialty hospital environment.

The practice model includes integrated diagnostic services and specialist referral support.

Minimum experience is 3+ years after specialist training or board certification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary healthcare to patients across all age groups and ensure continuity of care.
  • Conduct clinical assessments, examinations, and diagnostic evaluations for acute and chronic conditions.
  • Manage diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular, respiratory, thyroid, and metabolic conditions using evidence-based guidelines.
  • Deliver screenings, immunisations, lifestyle counselling, and early disease detection initiatives.
  • Develop individualized treatment and care plans and monitor outcomes.
  • Provide education on health maintenance, disease prevention, nutrition, and lifestyle modification.
  • Coordinate specialist and allied healthcare referrals and follow-up care.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
  • Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety programmes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Comply with UAE healthcare regulations, ethical standards, and hospital policies.

Qualifications & Board Recognition

  • Applicants must hold a recognized specialist qualification in family medicine.
  • Recognized pathways include American Board of Family Medicine, UK CCT or MRCGP, European Board Certification, Canadian Royal College Certification, Australian Fellowship, Arab Board, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for DHA, DOH, or MOH licensing.
